Halp is an integrated help authoring and display tool for Microsoft Access applications. It consists of a set of Access objects that a developer can add into an application to provide both context sensitive help topic authoring and help topic display. Developers can press Ctrl-F1 to create help content for the form or control that has the focus, and end users can press F1 to view that content on a familiar looking help form.

Halp can display help topics on a configurable help form using rich text formatting (Access 2007 and later file format), or as tooltips that appear at the cursor location on the screen. Help topics can be specific to the active control, or more general for the active form if no help topic exists for the active control. Generic help topics can be created and inserted into other topics at a specified location. Tooltips can appear similar to Access control tip text, or can include an icon, title and a 'balloon' style.

Halp is easy for developers to implement into their application. After importing the Halp objects, the developer adds a simple 'Autokeys' macro, and then one line of code to each form that will have context sensitive help. The developer then presses Ctrl-F1 to begin entering help topics.

Halp is even easier for end users - just hover the mouse over a control to see tooltip help content, or press F1!

GRANT OF LICENSE
Peter's Software grants you the following rights which depend on the version of Halp registered and / or downloaded:

Halp (demo version):
- is a shareware program. This means that you may test it, and add it into your applications free of charge. You may also distribute it freely to others so they may try it.

Halp (registered version: 1-5, 6-20, or 21-100 user licenses):
- Can be installed for application development purposes, or as part of a Microsoft Access application, on up to 5, 20, or 100 computers within your own company depending on the number of licenses purhcased.
- can be incorporated in any applications installed within your own company.

Halp (unlimited, royalty-free distribution license):
- can be used for software development on any number of computers within your own company.
- can be incorporated (royalty free) into any number of applications that you develop for distribution, for any number of computers inside or outside of your company.

You may make backup copies of Halp that are to be used as backups only.

COPYRIGHT
The software is owned by Peter's Software and is protected by United States copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Therefore, you must treat the software like any other copyrighted material (e.g., a book or musical recording) except that you may make copies of the software for backup or archival purposes or transfer the software to a single hard disk provided you keep the original solely for backup or archival purposes only. You may not copy the written materials accompanying the software.

OTHER RESTRICTIONS
You may not rent or lease the software. You may not transfer the software. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or create a derivative from the software.

SOURCE CODE
The end user, should they elect to purchase and should Peter's Software elect to sell the source code to the software, will adhere to the same terms and conditions of this agreement, which includes the agreement in full, and the license, for the source code. In addition, end user agrees that source code will not be resold as a stand alone product in direct or indirect competition of the software.

REVOCATION
End user agrees that this software and license will remain the sole property of Peter's Software at all times. Peter's Software reserves the right to revoke this license at any time and at its sole discretion. Upon revocation, the end user agrees to surrender all software and source code immediately retaining no copies of such.
