Daminion is a multi-user, easy-to-use digital photo and document management solution for your precious multimedia content.

Easy asset cataloging means goodbye to last-minute scrambling. Daminion also supports storage of data inside files, including copyright information, synchronization of database information with EXIF, IPTC, XMP, and MWG, as well as format-specific metadata in a wide variety of formats. You can work with Shared and Local catalogs in the same workspace as well.

Имеется серверная версия (Daminion Server) для организации архива изображений с многопользовательским доступом. Доступ к контенту может быть ограничен ролями. Например, пользователи с ролью "Чтец" могут только искать, просматривать и экспортировать файлы, а пользователи с ролью "Жнец" могут добавлять, удалять или редактировать теги и файлы. Ну а пользователь с ролью "На дуде игрец" может выполнять администраторские задачи. Серверная версия поддерживает архивы огромных размеров, до 1-2 млн. фотографий, и позволяет работать с единым каталогом изображений до 20-30 пользователям. В Daminion нет редактора - это "чистый" каталогизатор документов (с фокусом на фотографии). Зато есть удобный "мост" с внешними редакторами, например Photoshop или Illustrator. Ссылки на файлы - относительные, это значит, что папку с каталогом и файлами можно легко перенести на новое место. Чтобы найти нужный снимок или группу снимков достаточно выделить несколько тегов удерживая клавишу Ctrl. Можно выбрать операции И/ИЛИ между значениями одного тега, например найти файлы с ключевыми словами "дом" И "стекло" И "кирпич", снятыми в 2009 ИЛИ 2010 году c рейтингом выше 3 в "Краснодаре" ИЛИ "Сочи"
